Rectangular table legs made of steel

Rectangular table legs are closed, rectangular frames. Ours are made of steel with a 70 × 20 mm box section, 7 cm deep and powder-coated, in matt black or anthracite. The set contains two frames, enough for one table or bench. They also fit under benches and coffee tables.

Which size for which table?

40 × 30 cm (40 cm wide, 30 cm high): for a low coffee table or a bench.
50 × 72 cm, 70 × 72 cm and 90 × 72 cm: for dining tables and desks, depending on the width of the tabletop. With a 3 cm thick top, the table will be 75 cm high.
50 × 100 cm: for standing and bar tables.

The finished table height is the frame height plus the thickness of your tabletop. At its widest point, the frame should not be wider than the short side of the tabletop. How to work out both is explained in our guide Which table height is right?

Thanks to the powder coating, you can also use the table legs outdoors, for example for a garden table or a bench on the terrace.

Assembly

Turn the tabletop over, place the frames across the long side and centre them. Mark the position.
Pre-drill depending on the wood, so the screws sit straight and nothing splits.
Screw the frames to the tabletop through the slots. The slots give the wood room to move.
