X-shaped table legs made of steel

The X-shaped table legs are made of steel with a 70 × 20 mm box section and powder-coated, in matt black or anthracite. The set contains two legs, enough for one table.

Which size for which table?

36 × 40 cm: for a coffee table, side table or bench.
66 × 70 cm: for dining tables and desks. With a 3 cm thick top, the table will be 73 cm high.
86 × 80 cm: higher than the usual table height, 83 cm with a 3 cm thick top.

The finished table height is the frame height plus the thickness of your tabletop. At its widest point, the frame should not be wider than the short side of the tabletop. How to work out both is explained in our guide Which table height is right?

Thanks to the powder coating, you can also use the table legs outdoors, for example for a garden table or a bench on the terrace.

Assembly

Turn the tabletop over, place the frames across the long side and centre them. Mark the position.
Pre-drill depending on the wood, so the screws sit straight and nothing splits.
Screw the frames to the tabletop through the slots (20 × 10 mm). The slots give the wood room to move.
